Local Love Co.
Community of Makers, Movers + Shakers
At Local Love Co, we are a community of makers, movers and shakers in the heart of Okotoks and beyond.
From curated markets to spotlighting local shops, we're all about keeping it... LOCAL. We bring people together, support local talent, and always spread a little love along the way!
We’re proud to represent the Big Rock Collection – inspired by the iconic Okotoks Erratic, a stunning historical landmark nestled in Alberta’s foothills. This collection reimagines its beauty into everyday pieces you’ll love to use or gift to those who matter most.

Our Story
"Our goal has always been to create a market experience for vendors and visitors alike, that is filled with love, laughter and local shopping. It's truly a vibe and we can't wait for you to be a part of it!"
Local Love Co. began in 2021, founded by three passionate entrepreneurs who shared a vision for supporting local makers and small businesses. While Okotoks has always been home to Local Love Co., 2024 marks a new chapter with Nicole Fernell bringing her passion and experience to the table.
At Local Love Co., our mission is simple: celebrate community, support small businesses, and make space for connection — one local market at a time.

Meet the Queen Team
Nicole
"Queen of the Market Scene"

Nicole lives in Okotoks with her hubby and two daughters, and brings with her a deep love for community, creativity, and connection. With an events management diploma and years of experience in the market industry (since 2018), Nicole is no stranger to organizing meaningful events that bring people together. She’s passionate about all things local, especially when it comes to supporting fellow makers and creating memorable experiences for families. When she’s not running markets or dreaming up new ideas, Nicole loves spending time with her family, camping, traveling, and of course - shopping local. Oh, and penguins. She really loves penguins.
Natasha
"Booth Queen"

Natasha lives in High River with her hubby and her 2 beautiful kiddos. She is the creative force behind Little Kitchen Crafter and creates high quality resin products - from fun discovery discs to stunning coasters to eye-catching home décor, her work adds a touch of magic to everyday spaces. At Local Love Co., Natasha takes the lead on booth sales, bringing her friendly energy and passion for supporting local makers to every market. Another fun fact is Natasha and Nicole are childhood best friends...we are talking over 30 years of friendship for these two!
McKenna
"Steam Queen"

McKenna lives in Okotoks with her husband and two kids. A true jack of all trades, she plays a key role at Local Love Co., where she handles everything from ordering clothing and transfers to pressing and producing our merchandise. She also runs her own small business, Crimson Fox. Whether you're looking for a meaningful gift or a special piece just for you, McKenna has you covered. From designing t-shirts and hoodies to creating beautiful custom illustrations, she's all about crafting pieces that turn into lasting memories.
Char-Lee
"Queen of the Que"

Char-Lee is Nicole’s younger sister and one of her biggest supporters. For years, she has volunteered and worked alongside Nicole at countless events, proudly representing both Local Love and the Big Rock Collection wherever she goes. Whether she’s greeting guests at the door, managing lineups, or holding down the Local Love booth, Char-Lee brings energy and heart to everything she does. When she’s not at an event, you’ll find her riding horses, spending time with her dogs and nieces, or working on her own side hustle - doing eyelashes!
Belle
"Snap Queen"

Belle lives in Diamond Valley with her husband and two kiddos! She started doing photography by doing pet portraits and rainbow bridge sessions. She grew up in Canmore, so this mountain lady loves to Hike! If you're looking for product photos, headshots or family photos, then this is your gal! She's also a pro at website design! If you see her walking around taking photos at markets, be sure to say hi and smile for the camera!
